Surge of Fall Offers, Tentative Buyers Make the Move

This summer; like last summer, was a Seller's market, with buyers weary that prices may continue to fall, ie that their purchases would be worth less in the future real estate market. However there was actually a slight increase in values, by 1.4% in NH from last summer. Mortgage rates stabilized near 4% for 30 yr fixed loans. The outcome has been that Buyers have gotten off the fence this Fall. More offers have been submitted since August than any other Fall in years. They realize that prices have probably come to the end of their decline. Also, the media has publicized that home foreclosures have decreased over last year. Good news for both Buyers and Sellers all around!
